Independence Day - 70 Years of Youngness

After India’s struggle to be free from under the colonial rule of the British. India acted aggressively through many of the revolts that we now refer as ‘Freedom Revolts’. Through these revolts, The Indians slowly deprived the British of their monopoly over the Indian Trade market and their court of law, Discrimination between different Castes and Racism. On June 15, 1947 - The British House of Commons passed the Law that would alter the Nation’s History, The Indian Act of Independence. According to this act, The British would discontinue referring India as its own colony and would be given full recognition as A Country. On 15 th August 1947, India and Pakistan were formed (though Pakistan had separated from India on 14 th August). Lord Mountbatten ceased to be the Governor General of India and instead become the Vice-Roy of India.
